Does Priozar need an internet connection?

No. Detecting a distracting app, showing the intervention, running a focus timer, and re-blocking afterward all work fully offline. The only things that need a connection are syncing to a second device and buying Pro, and both are optional.

What does Priozar actually see about the apps I’ve chosen to block?

On Android: the name of the app in front and when you switched to it, compared on your device against your own list. On iOS: only that a shielded app was opened — Apple’s system deliberately never tells Priozar, or lets it ask, which one. See our privacy policy for the full detail.

I revoked a permission by accident. What breaks?

Depends which one:

• Usage Access (Android): detection stops, so Priozar can no longer notice a distraction. Re-grant it from the in-app diagnostic screen or Android Settings, and it picks back up immediately.
• Display over other apps (Android): the intervention screen can no longer appear over the app you opened. Same fix.
• Notifications: you’ll stop getting reminders and the “blocking may have stopped” alert, but blocking itself is unaffected.

Priozar tells you inside the app when one of these needs attention rather than failing silently.

I have a Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO phone. Every permission is ticked, but nothing gets blocked.

Turn on Display pop-up windows while running in the background. It lives under Other permissions, not the ordinary permissions list:

• Settings → Apps → Manage apps → Priozar → Other permissions, or
• the Security app → Permissions → Other permissions → Priozar.

If you opened Settings → Apps → Priozar → Permissions and saw only “Notifications”, that is the standard Android page and it is the wrong one — none of the three permissions Priozar depends on are listed there. Usage access, display over other apps and this pop-up setting are all “special access” permissions that Android keeps somewhere else. The reliable way to check them is Priozar’s own Distractions screen, which reads the real state of each one.

It is a Xiaomi-specific permission, it is off by default, and it is not the same as Android’s “Display over other apps” — which is why Priozar can show every permission as granted and still never appear. Without it, Priozar notices the app you opened and the system throws the intervention away before it reaches your screen, silently, with no error for either of us to see. It is the first thing to check on these phones.

Should I turn off “Pause app activity if unused”?

Yes, for Priozar. Android turns that on by default, and after a stretch of not opening an app it revokes the app’s permissions and stops its notifications. For most apps that is a sensible default. For this one it removes exactly the permissions blocking depends on, and the app you never open is the app that is working — Priozar is meant to run without you launching it. Find it under Settings → Apps → Priozar → Permissions, at the bottom.

My phone killed Priozar in the background and blocking stopped. What happened?

Some phone manufacturers (Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo are the most aggressive about this) run their own battery-saving sweeps that can stop an app’s background service even when nothing is wrong with it. Priozar tries to detect this and tell you, and offers a shortcut to your phone’s battery-optimization and autostart settings from the diagnostic screen — turning those off for Priozar specifically makes it much less likely to happen again. This is a real limitation of some Android phones, not a bug we can fully code around.

Does Priozar require an account?

No. Everything works with no account at all. Creating one is optional and only buys two things: syncing your priorities and progress to a second device, and carrying a Pro purchase from Android to iOS or back.

How do I get my data out, or delete it?

Both live on the Account screen. “Export your data” gives you everything Priozar holds about you as one file, no account required. If you have an account, “Delete your account” removes your account and everything synced with it, permanently — it does not touch what’s saved on your phone. How do I restore a Pro purchase after reinstalling or switching phones?

“Restore purchases” is on the Account screen. On the same platform (Android to Android, or iPhone to iPhone), it recovers your purchase automatically through the store. Moving from Android to iPhone or back needs an account, since Apple and Google don’t share purchase records with each other — see the privacy policy for why we chose not to require one for anything else.

Is Priozar a parental-control app?

No. Priozar is built for you to manage your own attention on your own phone — it authorizes access as an individual user, not a parent supervising a child’s device, and it’s not designed or marketed for that use.
